SD48 Standards of Practice for Educators
In 2003, the SSTA and SD48 District Staff co-created a teacher performance rubric to guide teacher professional growth planning and evaluations. In 2018, the two parties reconvened to review and modernize the guiding language and approach.
This document provides newly co-created language intended to assist all educators with both informal and formal guided collaboration regarding Designing for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; Management and Organization; Reflective Practice and Professional Learning; and, Professionalism. Informally, for example, educators can use this document to collaborate on classroom design and planning for curriculum, instruction, and assessment. More formally, it can be used for personal professional growth planning, the provision of descriptive feedback, and for educator evaluations.
